Advice on choosing the right warewashers, ice machines and refrigeration equipment for behind the bar.

No bar is the same so, when choosing equipment for behind the bar, it is important to think about the pattern of current trade and plan for the future. It's vitally important to have a smooth running backbar, says Bob Wood, sales director at DC Warewashing and Icemaking Systems. If the layout has not been planned out correctly then this will affect staff workflow as well as the efficiency to serve when demands are high. When you are looking to review the design of your back-bar, it's always good to speak to a professional designer or distributor. Many distributors will include design as part of the service but even if there is a small cost implication it will save you money in the long run.
