Catering Insight rounds up the latest warewashing kit available for UK dealers to specify.

This time of year is the prime period for major catering equipment manufacturers to launch their latest developments, and that has proved no different this year for the warewasher sector.

DC Products has recently launched a steam heat recovery-enabled appliance. Its PD1300A SHR passthrough machine has the condenser built into the hood, which is designed to reduce the maximum height of the machine and improve carriage and installation issues.

A double-hood version of its passthrough dishwasher, PD1300A is also being released by DC. Capable of washing high volumes, the unit features adjustable cycle times, energy saving standby mode, thermo-stop, an atmospheric boiler ensuring a constant rinse temperature, adjustable dosing and auto self-clean.

Bob Wood, DC's Managing Director also explained: "We are constantly updating and improving all our models as we develop new technologies, so for example our Economy and Standard range glasswasher pump assemblies were recently redesigned, allowing us to reduce energy usage while increasing the wash pressure."

Further additional features such as engineer diagnostic modes and automated integral softeners are also in the pipeline this year for DC's Economy and Standard ranges.

The Economy range of DC glasswashers will have increased loading heights to accommodate the recent trend for extra tall glasses.
