DC Pebble Ice Machine is a smooth operator

June 2015

In response to current trends DC has recently added a new self-contained Pebble Ice machine to its range of Icemakers

Specifically designed for use in cocktail bars, cafes, fast-food outlets, pubs and cafeterias, the new, self-contained DC Pebble Ice machine is a smooth operator and is going from strength to strength, as Costa Coffee, who have purchased these machines can attest.

The self-contained range consists of three machines that utilise a cylindrical evaporator, producing small trapezoidal cubes that bridge the gap between granular and cubed ice, making them perfect for cocktails, smoothies, iced teas and coffees.

This new style ice delivers an improved ice product into beverages and can significantly reduce the time it takes to prepare drinks. Preparation is also painless as the trapezoidal-shaped cubes reduce splash and allow for better measure management of quantity of ice to liquid.

Unlike modular machines, which have separate production and storage bins, self-contained icemakers have an integral storage bin. The smallest machine in the range produces 85kg of ice in a 24 hour period and stores up to20kg, whilst the largest produces up to 140kg of ice in a 24hour period and stores up to 50kg.

The machine cabinet is made using catering grade stainless steel for strength and hygiene whilst the insulated ice-storage bin is made using anti-bacterial plastic. All materials comply with FDA regulations (Food and Drug Administration) and are IPX3 rated to protect against any liquid ingress.

All machines operate from a standard 13amp plug and require a three-quarter inch water inlet connection and 24mm waste connection. The maximum ambient operating temperature is plus 38 degrees C.
